+Creating Announcements

Posted by pemcguire on Jan 3 2013 - 3:28pm

Announcements help to communicate important messages to your members. They can be used instead of sending out an email to all members. They are shown on the Home page of your Unit's website so that everybody will read them upon first accessing the site. The newest Announcements (or last edited) will show at the top of the home page.

Announcements are created by troop leaders so not everyone has this ability. And you have to be logged in to do this.

+Website - Individual Progess Report

Posted by pemcguire on Jan 3 2013 - 3:28pm

A feature of our new website is that is allows each scout to view their individual rank advancements and current merit badge status as this exists within Troopmaster. Please note: this is not an actual view of troopmaster! It is a view of troopmaster data as of our last import. An email will be sent out each time we update this information from troopmaster. Also note this is NOT the Advancement page that is accessible from the standard 'Menu' option.

To see your individual rank advancement information you must be logged in. At the top of the menu, under 'User', you will see a link 'My Profile', click on this link.

The profile allows you to update your email address(es) and change your password. All other information comes directly from troopmaster. If you find any incorrect information in your profile other than your primary email address please notify our troopmaster committee chair person. You can find out who this is using the Troop Roster page!

Now, back to advancements... on the 'View' tab of your profile you will find a link to your rank advancement information. Click where indicated. This will then show you your "Individual Progress Report", again as reflected in Troopmaster. If information here is incorrect it is imperative that you contact the troopmaster committee chair person to have this corrected. The data here should help each scout, and scout parent, to ascertain what additional ranks and merit badges are needed for their next advancement.
