Cub Scout Day Camp - Service Opportunities for Boy Scouts

Posted by kwest on May 16 2018 - 4:36pm

Cub Day Camp has two unique opportunities for Boy Scouts. Firstly, boys ages 14+ are eligible to volunteer at camp as Den Chiefs or in Program Areas. Secondly, Scouts ages 11-13 have the opportunity to earn merit badges by attending the Boy Scout Patrol (BSP). In order to be eligible for the BSP, Scouts do need to have a parent volunteering at camp. This is a great way for scouts to get some merit badges done with friends! Please see attached paper registration form.

New Version of YPT-Actions req for all adults

Posted by pfarley on May 15 2018 - 9:05pm
Adults,  there is an updated version of Youth Protection training (YPT) that has been released.  Giving you a heads up now, as this replaces all previous YPT versions, and requires ALL volunteers (THIS INCLUDES DRIVERS) to complete BEFORE OCTOBER 1, 2018. Training available - https://my.scouting.org/

All regsitered leaders, drivers and  adults going on a campout must be YPT trained. Please take the training when you can, so it isn’t a rush later in the year to beat the deadline. It doesn’t matter when you took the previous version, it will not be considered valid after October 1,2018.
