Hi, my name is Nate Brinkman . I have recently archived my Eagle Scout Rank. I would like to invite all scouts and families in the troop to attend my Court of Honor on July 16th at 12:00 pm in the Sanctuary at Simpsonwood United Methodist church. After the ceremony we will walk to the FLC for catered Waffle House.

CALL FOR BOATS

Posted by pfarley on Jul 13 2017 - 9:54pm
Do you have a boat, have access to a boat, can get a boat?  We will need boats to tow tubes and ski folks on Saturday 8/26 during the troop outing at Scoutland on Lake Lanier.  The troop covers gas and you get a delicious lunch! Please let Robert Gates know at rgates8146@aol.com if you can assist.

SKYMONT - Rifle Shooting/Shotgun/Archery

Posted by pfarley on Jul 5 2017 - 11:02am
If you are going to Skymont and are taking Rifle Shooting / Shotgun / Archery merit badge(s) - a good portion of the merit badge involves details and documentation paperwork to understand the details of the sport.  You can make life easier on yourself if you print out the packet, work on documenting the needed information in the comfort of your own home with good access to the interwebs, and BRING the mostly completed packet with you to camp.

NOTE - While these packets were specifically developed for Woodruff, the requirements for the merit badges do not change from camp to camp so the information is the same.

They will review and go over in class, but this will put you WELL ahead and give you more time to run aimlessly through the woods at camp.
