When you are ready for your Eagle Court of Honor, contact the last Eagle in the troop and ask for the "Eagle Box". This box (actually a couple of boxes), has lots of resources to help you in preparing for your Court of Honor. It includes sample programs, scripts and invitations from previous Courts of Honor. Electronic copies of these documents are included on a disk and/or CD.
It is up to the scout and his family to plan and coordinate his Court of Honor. The ceremonies used in the past are not mandatory. It is YOUR Court of Honor, and you can use whatever ceremony you like. A good online source of ceremonies and sample documents is at EagleScout.org. Start early! Scouts (and parents!) will find that the Court of Honor planning is almost as big a deal as the Eagle project! You don't even have to HAVE a Court of Honor if you don't want, but it is well worth the effort, and will be the highlight of your Boy Scout career.
Adults and scouts in the troop are always happy to help you in conducting your Court of Honor. Involving younger scouts is a great way for them to see what being an Eagle Scout is all about.
The Simpsonwood sanctuary can normally be reserved for conducting your Court of Honor, but you can elect to have it at another church, outside, or really anywhere that you choose.
If you have questions or need further help in planning your ceremony, you can contact the Eagle COH Coor on the 'Contact Us' page.
