Welcome to Troop 525's New Website!

Welcome to the new website of Troop 525 in Peachtree Corners, GA! Chartered with eight boys in August 1984 Troop 525 is boy-led and each is required to hold leadership positions as he advances in rank. The troop meets each Monday night, while school is in session, beginning at 7:30 PM at Simpsonwood United Methodist Church (SUMC) 4500 Jones Bridge Circle, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092. This site contains information for the scouts, parents, members and volunteers of our troop. Visitors are always welcome. Come join us!

Boys who are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade can join the Boy Scouting program. Cub Scouting is for boys in the first through fifth grades, or 7 to 10 years of age. For information about Cub Scouts please contact Pack 525 (pack525cubmaster @ gwinnettbsa dot org).

At the planning meeting Monday night (5/13) the Troop Leader's Council developed the outing plan through July 2014. Attached is the summary with dates and basic activities. The troop calender has been updated to reflect these outings.

As the school years winds down so does the 525 Outoor year. We will have summer camp(s) in June and July with our next series of outings being determined Monday night (5/13) at the annual planning meeting.

Adult Leaders & Scouts of Troop 525 - good morning, and I hope you are enjoying the rare sunshine we are having!

As we begin to plan for the next Scout year, I am seeking your input and ideas on how we can improve our Merit Badge Clinics, to make them more instructive, more enjoyable and more fun! While we certainly intend to continue offering Eagle required workshops, there may be other Merit Badges that you are interested in that we might be able to offer, given the availability of registered counselors. This might mean having other counselors come in to offer instruction, participation of community leaders, etc., who could enhance the experience.

REGISTRATION NEEDS TO BE IN Monday MAY 6

It is time for the Annual lock-in at SUMC. Time is 6:00 pm FRI May 10 to 8:00 am SAT May 11. If you need to leave early due to SAT activities that is fine, or stay through the lock-in and nap during your game/activity on Saturday
